I’m wondering the rationale of building more apartments right next to Ronez, which is known for its negative reputation? A building beside that is doomed from the start. It will not be a place people will want to live because of its neighbors in Ronez. So, that means it will turn into another area like “Sunset Hills apartments” but now will be in the North end.

City commission meetings are not like a school classroom period “from bell to bell.” If you’re at a theater and don’t like the movie, it’s your choice to leave. To ask the citizenry to remain for the entire session, if they choose not to, is out of line.

I’m new here and very worried. Lived here 6 months and can’t even go in stores. Unfortunately not seeing much purpose to the meetings. It’s obvious these city people could not care less. Just a quick Google search shows Tackett won 7 months ago with 62+% of the vote running on a platform of helping Haiti and the homeless. That's all the homeless needs is MORE support. Works perfectly all over the country. Actually, it just means more federal funds for her. Ms. Houston needs to be ousted TODAY. But that would have to mean more financial impact than the fed dollars, though, and that’s not very likely. When I first moved here, I couldn’t imagine what Springfield was doing with the ADDITIONAL 2% deducted from my paycheck, but now I know. So I guess the meeting did serve a purpose after all.

Ms. Baily sees the horrible future for Springfield. She is correct, only a handful of middle and upper class natives will remain in Clark County a couple years from now. Spfld's infrastructure is in an active elevated state of total collapse. This will lead to a housing market crash where even the most beautiful homes will be worth pennies on the dollar. Clark County has been hijacked and the Springfield city government complicit. I too saw the writing on the wall, and in May I moved out of state where I feel safe. I was born, raised, and spent 60 years in Clark county; I'm heart broken knowing that it's too dangerous to step foot inside the city limits, and never again will I lay eyes on my hometown. Springfield is in a death spiral, get out now if you can.
